It is a collective performance-session in the form of an oracle, initiated by Amador Alina Folini and Ana Rita Teodoro within the Terra Batida network in 2020. In this collective participation oracle, a question is posed to a fruit, vegetable, root, or edible plant, relating it to its own stories. The aim is not to predict the future, but to carefully observe the vegetal being and its knowledge in relation to the question.
Through reading its forces, colors, textures, flavors, smells, healing or toxic properties, the territories where it grows, cultivation methods, and more, the oracle proposes a shift in protagonism. Through sensory experience, conversation, speculation, and sometimes even collective incorporation, it creates an encounter with the vegetal being, listening to its perspectives and responses to our questions.
