As if language were a virus that infects the world with normativity and binarisms, which need to be transmuted, PINK NOISE (Pink Noise) shakes the sound vibrations of voice and words to stimulate listening and oral imagination. It transits a practice that concentrates on the rhythm of what resonates and the eroticism of what vibrates, so that words lose their central place and dissolve in the orifices, invoking sensorial and more-than-human properties of language.
PINK NOISE is also a primordial impulse in the need to breathe and in its power to invoke others, humans and more-than-humans, from the experience of inhabiting a destroyed, drowned, exploited world. It seeks to mobilize non-linear times with the material experience of having a voice, to put in tension the visual through listening, to summon a body possessed by oral, vocal, vibrational hallucinations.
PINK NOISE is a revisitation of a work from 2021, creating a new version in collaboration with the sound artist Isadora Tomasi and have the collaboration of the brasilian artist Mau Grimaldi who designed a map who guide the spectators through a calligraphic dimension of the choreography.
The piece focuses on the theme of deep listening, not only to the sensory properties of the voice, breathing, and words, but also to lesbian and queer sensibilities, as a concern for forms of research and creation that question normative methodologies.
